Michael Duncan

W. Michael Duncan, 75, of Wayne, PA, passed away on August 11, 2023. He was born on August 15, 1947 and grew up in Narberth. Michael was an accountant at a Big 5 firm and later served as CFO of various corporations. He was a lifelong numbers guy through and through.

Michael attended Lower Merion High School and always spoke fondly of his time there. He later pursued higher education at Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science History (now Thomas Jefferson University).

In his free time, Michael enjoyed following Philadelphia sports, particularly the Eagles and Phillies. He was a passionate fan and took joy in supporting his teams. Michael loved the Jersey shore and constantly reminisced about spending time in Strathmere with family as a young boy.

Michael is survived by his children, Sean (Rachel) Duncan, Gwyneth (Benjamin) White, Andrew (Danielle) Duncan, and Gabriella Duncan. He was grandfather to Iain, Owen, Evan, Oliver, Theodore, Cole, and Reece. Michael is also survived by his sister, Mary (Craig) Spencer, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald A. Duncan, mother, Dede Duncan, brother, Donald Duncan Jr., sister, Sandy Costa, and brother-in-law, Michael Costa.

A public service will be held in honor of Michael at West Laurel Hill Cemetery on Saturday, August 19, at 1:00pm. Family will gather together afterwards. Contributions in memory of Michael may be made to the charitable organization of your choice.
