William Arthur a longtime resident of Fairless Hills, PA passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 26th at the age of 88. Born in Philadelphia, William served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1954 through 1957, before settling with his wife, Donna (nee Hackenberry), in Fairless Hills to start their family. William retired from US Steel after over 30 years of loyal service as a pipe fitter.
William is survived by his wife Donna, their children - Jeffrey Arthur, Scott Arthur and Cindy Arthur - 8 grandchildren (Brian Costello, Leighanne Costello, Jason Horan, Mark Costello, Krysta Arthur, Shawn Horan, Steven Arthur, and Ashlee Horan) and 10 great-grand children. Preceding him in death was daughter Kimberly Costello (née Arthur).
William is remembered for his love of gardening, frequenting local flea markets, daily walks at the Oxford Valley Mall where many referred to him as “Captain America”, and especially enjoyed travel and adventure to museums, amusement parks, and Pocmont resort in Bushkill, Pa with his children and grandchildren.
