Theresa Minford, age 101, of Glen Mills, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 16, 1924, in Philadelphia, PA, Theresa was raised in Southwest Philadelphia and was the beloved daughter of Paul and Maria Carlantonio.

Theresa was lovingly reunited with her devoted husband, Thomas E. Minford, with whom she shared 68 wonderful years of marriage, as well as her beloved daughters, Theresa Heen and Colleen Minnis. Together, Theresa and Tom built a life centered around family and adventure while raising their four children.

She is survived by her children Bill Minford (Beth) and Tom Minford (Sandy). She is also survived by her 15 grandchildren Kristen Impastato (Andrew), Theresa Heen, Peter Minnis, Cindy Heen, Allison Kunisky (Andrew), Kevin Heen, Sean Minford (Maddie), Tommy Minford, Tyler Minford, Tony Minford (Melissa), Lauren Minford, Shannon Minnis, Richard Minford, Kevin Minnis, and Tish Minford, her 7 great-grandchildren Kiley Impastato, Sophia Impastato, Addison Kunisky, Ava Kunisky, Liam Minford, Dimitri Heen, and Thomas E. Minford IV who is on the way, and many loving friends, nurses, and aides with whom she built close relationships during her 17 years at Maris Grove.

Theresa had a vibrant spirit and found joy in life’s simple pleasures. As a child, she loved playing hopscotch and learned to sew and cook alongside her mother, creating cherished memories, especially making gavadeels together. Theresa was also a talented dressmaker, she spent many years making children’s clothing and even designed and created her own wedding gown at home.

Theresa and Tom shared a love for travel, family camping trips, and ballroom dancing, especially the cha-cha. Together they explored all 50 states, creating countless memories along the way. In recent years, Theresa enjoyed life at Maris Grove, where she loved taking walks, soaking up the sunshine, enjoying Italian food, and watching Action News and Wheel of Fortune. Above all else, spending time with her family brought her the greatest happiness.

Her wise words to life were, “Do your best and God will do the rest.”

Theresa believed the secret to a long life was staying active, drinking plenty of water, and surrounding yourself with good company. Her warmth, strength, and loving presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM on Friday, May 29, 2026 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 430 Valleybrook Road, Glen Mills, PA 19342.
