Roger Wesley Sheets was born on February 12, 1948, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and passed away on January 16, 2026, at the age of 77, in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania after living many years in Florida, a place that suited his love of nature, exploration, and outdoor pursuits. With a BA in Mathematics from Perdue, Fort Wayne, and MS in Computer Science for University of South Florida (Go Bulls), he became Software Architect. Working across decades of evolving technology, he was known for his precision, problem-solving ability, and thoughtful approach to his craft.
Roger was an accomplished nature photographer with a special affection for birds. He loved scuba diving and adventure of many kinds and at one time was a dedicated triathlete.
Roger is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy “Bibzie” Priori; his children, Maron Sabol and Elliott Sheets; his stepchildren, Grant Kaley and Deana Parsons; his grandson, Hunter Sabol; and his step-grandchildren, Ryan Kaley, Tyler Kaley, Molly Parsons, and Harrison Kaley.
He will be remembered for his intelligence, warmth, and desire to share his passions with others. Roger will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
