Robert Paul Laczko

Robert P. Laczko, age 83, formerly of Richboro, PA and South Euclid, Ohio, passed away April 15th, 2026, in Paoli, PA. He was born September 10, 1942, in Cleveland, OH, to the late Matthias and Ann (Pohto) Laczko and was the husband of Geraldine (Quinlan) Laczko. Bob attended St. Joseph High School in Cleveland and Majored in Chemistry at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.

Bob was a battery service engineer who supported power plants. His job took him all over the US and world. He specialized in nuclear plant’s battery back-up systems and was integral in maintaining the NORAD and remote stations in Greenland at Thule Air Force Base. He also help design and build the nuclear back-up systems for the LA and Hawaiian power generation plants.

Bob was an avid golfer and bowler in his youth and enjoyed watching the PGA events on TV. A huge sports fan, he religiously followed the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians/Guardians in the hopes they would actually win a championship. He also supported his adopted teams of the Phillies and Eagles.

Bob loved anything mechanical – Boats, Airplanes, Cars. He had an encyclopedic knowledge of all of them. He was a great crossword puzzle solver and could do the NY Times and WSJ puzzles in ink.

Bob is survived by his wife, Geraldine Laczko; sons, Robert Matthias Laczko and William (Christina) Laczko; granddaughter, Elizabeth Laczko and many cousins and other relatives in Lake County, Ohio.

Bob was preceded in death by his sister Valerie Laczko in 2024, her husband Kenneth Huebner in 2019, his sister Barbara (Laczko) Migliaccio in 2011, her husband Peter in 1991, and by his parents.

Friends will be received on Monday, May 11th, between 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at St. Norbert Catholic Church in Paoli, PA. Funeral Services will immediately follow at 11:00 AM. The Services will be live streamed at the St Norbert Church You Tube channel at 11 AM. A Family & Friends Luncheon will follow services at Maggiano’s Little Italy in King of Prussia. Burial will be in private.
