Robert N. Buzzerd, Jr., Warwick Township

Robert N. Buzzerd, Jr. 86, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, died peacefully at his home on October 30, in Warwick Township. Robert was born in Phoenixville on April 3, 1938 to the late Robert N. (Reds) Buzzerd Sr. and the late Miriam E. (Bickhart) Buzzerd.

A widower of Patricia (Loar) Buzzerd, Bob, Buzz, Poppy as he was frequently called was a 1956 graduate of Phoenixville High School. Shortly after graduating, he became a proud member of the United States Marine Corps, which would shape his life to come. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the United States Marine Corps League where is was active in the “Toys for Tots” program, the Phoenixville Friendship Fire Company #66, and Special Olympics. In addition, Bob was a life long active member of Zion Lutheran Church, Spring City, where he held the position of President of the Cemetery Board, and would hold bible studies at his home on Sunday nights.

A die hard Eagles fan, he was also an avid NASCAR fan and loved his cars and trucks, particularly his Ford Mustang and recently his Chevy Camaro. In addition he also loved spending time in the, mountains of central Pennsylvania (Penn State), and going to Rehoboth Beach Delaware. Bob and his wife, Pat, loved buying and selling antiques, and at one point owned and ran the former Buzzerd's Nest Antique Store in Intercourse, Pennsylvania.In addition to his loving wife of 55 years, Patricia, he is preceded in death by his children Jenilyn L. Buzzerd, Chad Buzzerd, Travis Buzzerd, Trevor Buzzerd, and step daughter Roxanne Robinson.

Robert is survived by his children, Robert N. Buzzerd III (Lisa) of Biglerville, PA, Dr. Thomas A Buzzerd (Dr. Theresa Buzzerd) of Port St. Lucie, FL, Sheryl Kunik (Michael) of Salisbury, MD, Walter Thomas Kipp (Melissa) of Athens, PA, step children, Shawn M. Rogers (John) of Warwick Township, PA, Carl Nagle of Muncy, PA and Charles Nagle of Lewis, DE. In addition to many grand children and great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at Zion Lutheran Church, 39 Bonnie Brae Rd., Spring City, PA, on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 12:00 noon with Paster Taylor Walker officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 11:00 to 11:45.
