Robert Alan Johnson

Robert “Bob” Alan Johnson, 77, of Buckingham PA, passed peacefully into the presence of his Savior on October 14, 2026, after a long period of declining health.

He shared 52 years of marriage with his faithful wife Nancy E. (Madden) Johnson.

Born in Swedesboro NJ, September 12, 1949, he was the son of the late Harry W. Johnson and Ruth (Schaffer) Guenzel.

Bob graduated from Marple Newtown High School in Newtown Square PA. After graduation he began working in construction at Crompton and Seitz, Inc. in Feasterville PA. Soon after, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he served as Lance Corporal in Vietnam. Upon returning from service he continued his long career at Crompton & Seitz where he later became a partner in ownership with the name changing to C&S Contractors and Equipment, Inc. He eventually left C&S and worked for several years at Plumstead Christian School before moving into Self-Employment, then Retirement.

Bob had a heart for helping others, at times traveling hours out of state to lend a hand to friends. He enjoyed gardening (stay out of the mulch!) and helping his children with their many house projects. His greatest joy was spending time with his twenty grandchildren, who affectionately called him Poppy. Poppy was always ready with "homework" whenever the grands stopped by, sharing jokes, riddles, brain teasers, puzzles, and various bits of wit and wisdom.

Surviving along with his wife, Nancy, are his six children: four sons, Kristopher Johnson of Buckingham PA; Brian (Jamie) Johnson of Plumsteadville PA; Jesse (Beka) Johnson of Valley Forge PA; Robert Jr. (Noel) Johnson of Philadelphia PA; and two daughters, Andrea Decker of New Hope PA; Monica (Matthew) Colflesh of Coopersburg PA; twenty grandchildren: Konnor and Avery Johnson; Paige (John) Hilton, Aiden (Hannah) Johnson; Patrick, Kaitlyn, Natalie, Leah, and Jillian Decker; Lily, Reese, Nora, Mabel, Miles, and Ralph Colflesh; Jakob and Zeke Johnson; Kamry Satanoff, Tori and Robert Johnson III; and three great grandchildren: Frankie Hilton; Rosemary and Lincoln Johnson.

Bob is also survived by his stepmother, Mary Johnson of Los Gatos CA; sisters Sandra (Bill) Swinburne, and Beverly Brooks; and many nieces, nephews and in-laws.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his stepfather, Wayne Guenzel, and two grandsons, Noah Johnson and Levi Colflesh.

While his presence on earth will be greatly missed we joyfully await our family reunion in heaven where we will join our Poppy in eternal glory, and forever worship our Lord and Savior,
Jesus Christ.

A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church, 4174 Township Line Road, Wycombe, PA 18980 on Saturday, November 21, 2026 at 11:00AM. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10AM to 11AM.
