Raymond Rotondo returned Home to the Lord on Wednesday July 12, 2023 at the age of 78. He passed peacefully at his home in Pipersville. Ray was the loving husband of Geraldine (Schaeffer) Rotondo, his best friend, who he was happily married to for 55 years.
Ray is survived by his beloved daughter, Jennifer Rotondo; cherished son, Jeffrey Rotondo and wife Kristy; two treasured grandchildren, Julianna and Jude Thomas; brothers, Michael and Edward McCandless; brother-in-law Mark and wife Joanne Schaeffer; and many treasured nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his mother, Theresa McCandless; his aunt, Pasquelina Rossi; and his two grandchildren, Brandon and Mia Rotondo.
Ray was a graduate of St. Thomas More High School and Pierce Junior College. He was a proud veteran of the National Guard, an avid golfer, a long-time member of the Road Angels Street Rod Club, and a dedicated volunteer for the Bucks County Youth Aid Panel. Ray was a self-made business man who successfully built his company Anchor Direct into a thriving business. He enjoyed traveling with Gerry and their lifelong friends, Rocca and Elaine Marascio, and he loved spending time supporting his grandchildren at their various sporting events. Ray was also a loyal Philly’s sports fan, especially of the Eagles and Phillies. In addition, he really loved cars, especially his 2003 Corvette, and he enjoyed going to various car shows.
Family and friends can join us in celebrating Ray’s life at Ivy Hill Cemetery’s Modern Chapel at 1201 Easton Rd., Philadelphia at 11:00am on Thursday July 20th, 2023.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ray’s name to Doylestown Hospital Hospice, Tunnel to Towers Foundation, or the SPCA of Lahaska.
