Phyllis Trahey

Phyllis Joy Trahey, age 86, passed away on the 13th of January 2023 at her home in Media, Pennsylvania.

Phyllis Joy was born in South Philadelphia to Rose Albano and Samuel Sapienza on October 7, 1936. She was the dear sister of the late Russell Sapienza, Maria Elena DiMarcello and Loretta Dietrich.

She married the love of her life, Joseph Francis Trahey , on October 23, 1954. Phyllis was the beloved mother of the late Joseph Jr., Christine, Stephen, Meg, Thomas, and Susan. She was the proud grandmother of Joseph, Stephen, Kevin, Christopher, Caitlin, Jaclyn, Thomas, Benjamin and Emma. She was the adoring great grandmother of Gemma, Asher, Aubrey, Ashley, Julianna, Kara, Roseadella, and brand new baby Stephen.

Phyllis was passionate about her work as an occupational therapist including her time at Moss Rehabilitation Center, Albert Einstein Medical Center and Jefferson. She loved to travel, was a talented artist and a lover of life who cared deeply about her friends and family

A celebration of her life for friends and families will be held later this year. In lieu of any other expression of sympathy, a donation in honor of Phyllis Trahey made to WEL-Main Line (Wesley Enhanced Living, ATTN: Business Office, 100 Halcyon Drive, Media, PA 19063) would be appreciated by the family.
