Norbertus Cornelis Robben
“Berry”
April 8, 1961 to February 25, 2026
It is with profound sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Dr. Norbertus Cornelis Robben.
Berry was born on April 8,1961, in Goirle, Netherlands, the son of "the late" Cees Robben and Anna Maria Bakkum. He attended Medical School at the University of Utrecht, NL. In 1988, Berry pursued his residency in Internal Medicine at Duke University. Eventually practicing Emergency Room Medicine in Haverford. In 2011 he started Mind Your Skin Laser & Aesthetic Medicine in Havertown, Pennsylvania.
The practice that became far more than a business. To Berry, each patient was a friend and a member of an extended family. He was down to earth and patient's often were surprised to hear Dr. Robben answer the business phone himself and schedule appointments.
He had many hobbies including playing harpsichord, photography, collecting vintage model trains and listening to classical music. He was a member of both Delaware Valley Jaguar Club and the Bacchus Band Wine Club. He enjoyed sharing lots of stories and he never missed a teaching opportunity sharing his wealth of knowledge. Berry would often be with his Dutch friends attending a Union soccer game or sailing on the Chesapeake.
But it was time with family and friends that he treasured most, hosting fun events and gatherings at his home. Berry loved being adventurous and enjoyed traveling with Kim to unique spots but his favorite vacations were hiking and retreating in Lake Placid, NY. You would catch him napping often with many golden retrievers by his side.
He will be missed by family, friends, and his many wonderful patients and staff throughout the years from Mind Your Skin that made him laugh and smile at work everyday.
Berry leaves behind his wife, Kimberly Robben, and his children: Greg Robben (Christina), Nico Robben, Keith Robben, and Lia Robben. He will be grieved by his family in the Netherlands, siblings Mieke (Wim), Francis, Hans, and his beloved godmother Els.
A private gathering will be held with family to honor and commemorate Berry’s life.
