Michael Mengini

  Michael Mengini, 72, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away on July 15, 2023. Born on August 10, 1950, in Philadelphia, Michael was a lifelong lover of music and an accomplished guitar player. He served in the Army as a medic during the Vietnam War, demonstrating his unwavering dedication to his country.

 In addition to his military service, Michael had a passion for playing the guitar. He found solace and joy in creating beautiful melodies, which brought happiness to those around him. His talent and love for music will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of hearing him play.

Michael is survived by his mother, Catherine, his brothers Stephen, Richard, and William, his sister Leah, his children Carrie and Brian, and his four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers Thomas and James, as well as his father, Michael. Michael was also the loving partner to the late Patricia (Trish) McLaughlin for over 30 years.

A ceremony to honor Michael's life will be held at St. Dorothy's Parish in Drexel Hill on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at 10:30 am. Friends, family, and all those whose lives he touched are invited to attend and pay their respects. Michael Mengini will be remembered for his dedication to his country, his love for music, and his unwavering commitment to his family. His legacy will live on in the hearts and memories of those who knew and loved him.
