Marcella Lonergan Bell

Newtown — BELL, Marcella  Ann Lonergan 

Jan 7, 1929 - May 4, 2022 (age  93), passed away on May 4, 2022  at Pickering Manor in Newtown,  PA surrounded by her family. 

Beloved Mother of Deborah  Bell Misher (Bob), Judith Bell  Huot (Rick), and Michael Bell  (Melissa). Grandmother to Brian  Misher (Laura), Kimberly Mish 

er, Christopher Henri, Sophia  Henri, and Michael Bell, Jr. Great  Grandmother to Carter Mininni,  Mikayla and Madison Misher. 

Marcella had an intense curiosity for life. She loved sunsets,  astronomy, reading, engineer- ing, and teaching. She loved to  observe and listen to people,  claiming she was hard of hear ing. She was an entrepreneur at  heart - owning Ship Inn on the  promenade in Sea Isle, starting  The Bell School day care center,  and always thinking about the  next project. She was a teacher of  Math and English until she was  79, teaching at the collegiate and  high school level. 

She was born in Philadelphia  to Helen (McCarthy) and James  Lonergan. Marcella graduated  from Immaculata College and  continued her education at Columbia University (MA) and UP enn (working on her EdD).
