Lucy P. Sweeney

 Sweeney Lucy Pippa Age 89, entered her eternal rest on March 22, 2023. She was born in Trenton, NJ on December 12, 1933. At the age of 24 she married her husband of 50 years, Richard Sweeney of Philadelphia, Pa. She loved cooking, reading, sewing, knitting, entertaining, traveling, and cheering for Philadelphia sports teams. She was active in church activities and taught an early morning women's Bible study for 20 years. Her faith defined her. She had an inexhaustible faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her family and friends will remember her love, wisdom, wit, generosity, strength, courage, and grace. She was survived by her children Richard (Marie); Michael (Diane); Kathleen Mente (Don); Paul. She enjoyed the love and affection of 10 grandchildren Margaret, Christopher(Lauren); Casey; Emily; Molly; Michael; Anna; Hannah; Marin. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard and her granddaughter Katharine. A Memorial Service will be announced.
