Lewis Young

 Lewis M. Young, Jr. of Wallingford passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023. Mr. Young grew up in Media. He graduated from Penncrest High School, Class of 1961. He went on to receive both his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Education from West Chester University. At WCU, he was editor of the campus sports paper The Rams Horn and a member of the Friars Fraternity. Mr. Young taught briefly at Coatesville and Garnet Valley High Schools before taking the opportunity to teach on Army bases in Germany, England and Turkey. On his return to the states, he settled in Newport News, VA. For many years Mr. Young taught English Lit and coached track and womens' basketball at York High School in Yorktown. He had resided in Wallingford for three years. Mr. Young is survived by his sister and brother-in-law Connie and John Reeder of Media, a nephew and two nieces.
