Larry Eugene Drumm

Larry Eugene Drumm, 79, of West Grove, PA, passed away on December 17, 2025 at Twin Pines Health Care Center where he had been cared for during the last several years. Though his later years brought significant health challenges, he faced them with strength and resilience.

Born in Newark, OH, on October 7, 1946 to the late Lawrence William Drumm and Helen Virginia Drumm (Hoover), Larry earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Cincinnati and an MBA from the University of Hartford. His career began in sales at Eastman Chemical, then shifted to business development in the biotechnology industry for Genencor, Bio-Technical Resources (BTR), and the Michigan Biotechnology Institute (MBI). He then used his experience and expertise to formalize his consulting business for industrial biotechnology, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals.

Larry travelled extensively throughout North America, Europe, and Asia both for business and pleasure. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing and going to the movies. He was very supportive of his son’s involvement in Scouting America (formerly known as Boy Scouts of America), volunteering his time as a Cubmaster and an Assistant Scoutmaster, and enthusiastically encouraged his grandchildren along their scouting journeys as well. Later in life, Larry compassionately rescued dogs in need, giving each one the patience and love they deserved.

Larry is survived by his former wife, Wendy Drumm (Stehling); son Marc from his second wife, Gail Judith Drumm (Levine) (d. 1989); daughter-in-law Laurie and grandchildren Colin and Annabeth Drumm of Avondale, PA; and sister Barbara Zeimer (Drumm) of Toledo, OH.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
