Kimberly Ann Costello

Kimberly “Kim”, “Kimba”, “Bernie”, Ann Costello was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and mentor. Surrounded by family, Kim passed peacefully on September 24, 2023, at age 63. 

 

Born to William and Donna Arthur on August 3, 1960, Kim grew up in Fairless Hills, PA with her (3) siblings - Jeffrey Arthur, Scott Arthur, and Cindy Arthur. After graduating from Pennsbury High School, Kim chased her dreams to become a Nurse. Throughout her 30 year career, in both hospital and nursing home settings, Kim’s passion and dedication to excellent patient care inspired (and occasionally irritated) many fellow colleagues. Kim was a wild spirit, spontaneous, and driven, but most of all she was selfless. Kim was always caring for, helping, and extending a hand to serve others. 

 

In addition to her parents and siblings, Kim is survived by her husband, Tim Costello, their (3) children - Brian Costello [Victoria], Leighanne Costello [Zdravko], and Mark Costello [Rachael] - and (8) grandchildren who were the light of her world - Dan, Andrew, Madison, Russel, Romeo, Sofia, Zion, and Camilla. She loved them “to the moon and back”. Though Kim was ‘no non-sense’ with most things in life, the grandkids ruled the nest and set the pace at grandma’s house. 

 

Kim loved spending time outdoors, whether weeding her garden, cheering on the sidelines at softball games, taking walks, going to the beach, or attending music festivals, she just longed to be outside and active. As an avid Philly sports fan, Kim enjoyed watching the Eagles, 76ers, and Phillies compete — and boy did she take those losses to heart! Kim loved bringing people together. Halloween was her favorite holiday, where for many years she was known to transform the outside of her home into a haunted house and invite the neighborhood children to join for fun. 

 

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 11:00AM on October 28, 2023 at the Founding Fathers on Street Road in Bensalem, PA. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center - Cancer Center at Torresdale - on her behalf.
