Joseph Michael O’Hara of Glen Mills, PA, passed away on September 16, 2023, in Philadelphia after a brief illness. Michael was born in Milmont Park, PA to Charles Robert and Emma Marie (Zanzinger) O’Hara on December 21, 1951. He attended St. James High School graduating in 1970. He graduated from Emery Riddle Aeronautic University followed by the United States Navy Aviation Officer Candidate School.
Michael is survived by his wife of 35 years Patricia Radich, his daughter Molly Brigid and spouse Rudy Cerami and his son Patrick Bruce. Also, four brothers Rev. Charles Robert, Lawrence, Dennis and Brian. Six sisters Kathleen, Barbara, Maureen, Patricia, Jean and Joan, their spouses and his many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and his brothers Bruce and John. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff of Penn Presbyterian Hospital for their exceptional care.
Michael was a true Renaissance man with a passion for classical music, literature, world history, Naval Aviation, all things mechanical, hiking, camping, fishing, and nature. To honor Michael’s memory, take some time to explore and enjoy the beauty of the U.S. National and State Parks.
A celebration of Michael’s life will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am followed by a Mass at 11:00 am at St. Joseph’s Church, 3640 Schuylkill Road, Spring City, PA.
