John W. Weir

John W. Weir 76 of Boothwyn, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on December 30th surrounded by his family and loved ones.

John was born in Chester, Pennsylvania and was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He was employed at Sun Oil for 20 years where he was a chef on a tug boat. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed trips to the casino and the excitement of a good horse race. He was a big fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, and Philadelphia Phillies.

He is survived by Margaret (Honey) Chivalette, his partner of 40 years, 5 children Cindy Chivalette LeRette of Kansas City, Missouri, Debbie Shanko of Aston, Pennsylvania, Vince Chivalette of Marcus Hook, Pennsylvania, Kristin Mushinski of Marcus Hook, Pennsylvania and preceded in death his daughter Lisa Chivalette Netz. John had 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Services to celebrate John’s life and legacy will be held privately at the request of his family.
