James (Seamus)Mulholland
A kind and gentle spirit left this world on
March 17th, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.
James Mulholland aka “Seamus” 92 from Belfast, Northern Island & Folcroft, PA was a loyal and dedicated husband,son,father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
He was predeceased by his parents the late Edward and Margaret Mulholland, his brothers and sisters, his loving wife Lilly of 67 years and his youngest son Joseph.
He is survived by his loving children,Jerry (Ann Marie) Mulholland, Pete (Patty) Mulholland, Brendan (Janet) Mulholland, Anne Mulholland, Pat (Chicky) Mulholland, Karen (Frank) Saracco, Jim (Debbie) Mulholland, Rosemary (John) Port, Colleen Mulholland, & Michael (Jess) Mulholland,
50 grandchildren, 2 sister-in-laws, and a
brother-in-law, and numerous nieces, and nephews.
He was a career bartender who began his 45 year career in Belfast,Northern Ireland as a 15 year-old Apprentice who never touched a drop of alcohol his entire life!
He was a faithful and practicing Catholic, an avid reader, lover of Irish and country music, a fan of European Football especially Manchester United,The Philadelphia Eagles, and Professional Boxing.
He especially loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and his best friends Patty, Pete, Eric (Speedy Gonzalez) & furry friend Gracie.
He was a very kind, friendly, and gentle man who “never met a stranger”. He was a great storyteller and was proud of his Irish heritage.
He loved going to the casino with his wife and has joined her now at the great casino in the sky!
His family is especially grateful for the loving care he received during the last 3 years of his life from his best friends daughter-in-law Patty, son Pete, son Brendan,daughters Rosemary and Anne and granddaughter Dara.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday
March 22nd, 2023 from 9-10:45 AM at
St. Gabriel’s Church on
233 Mohawk Ave. Norwood, PA
followed by Mass at 11 AM.
Internment will follow at Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield PA.
