It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James Patrick Morgan Jr., who died on April 5, 2026, at the age of 86.
Born on January 9, 1940, in Darby, Pennsylvania, Jim was the beloved son of the late Margaret Morgan and James Morgan Sr. He was a longtime resident of Burlington Township, New Jersey, having previously lived in Norwood and Levittown, Pennsylvania.
Jim is survived by his devoted wife of 26 years, JoAnn, with whom he shared a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Together, they built a home full of warmth, happiness, and enduring devotion.
He was a proud and loving father to his three children: James Patrick Morgan III (Elaine), Susan Galloza (Jose), and Richard Morgan (Jennifer). Jim was also a devoted grandfather to his nine grandchildren: Jesica (Andrew), Jimmy Pat, Casey (Aaron), Zach, Jake, Jeremy, Gavin, Elizabeth, and Adrienne; and a loving great-grandfather to Everett and Heather.
Jim is also survived by his siblings, Peggy Hamilton (John), John Morgan (Lisa), and Fran Kaib (Jim), as well as many nieces and nephews.
Jim dedicated 41 years of service to Fisher Middle School in Ewing, New Jersey, where he served with commitment, compassion, and care. His years of service reflected his deep dedication to education and to the students, families, and colleagues whose lives he touched throughout his career.
Jim will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and sense of humor. He leaves behind a lasting legacy of love and devotion that will be cherished by his family, friends, colleagues, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will continue to inspire and bring comfort to those mourning his loss.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Jesus, the Good Shepherd / Saint Joseph’s, located at 805 Warren Street, Beverly, NJ 08010 on Tuesday, April 21. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church. With a mass to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Jim’s honor to the Parkinson Voice Project, 646 N. Coit Road, Suite 2250, Richardson, TX 75080.
May Jim’s spirit live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
