Jacqueline Amelia (Marshall) (Rust) Simmonds, 92, of Norwood, PA, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2023.

Jackie was born on February 6, 1931, to Thomas and Marian (nee Wickersham) Marshall in Ridley Park, PA. She graduated from Collingdale High School in 1949.

After graduating, she started her first job at the Vertol Corporation (Later Boeing) in Morton, PA. Once her children were grown, she returned to the working world and was employed by INA/CIGNA, Bamberger's Department Store, Columbia Research and finally at Keystone Quality Transport, which is ironically located in the former Vertol Corporation building in Morton, PA

In 1957, Jackie met Leonard J. Rust, Jr. at The Log Cabin Inn in Media, PA. They were married on May 24, 1958. Jackie and "Rusty” went on to have 2 children, Jacqueline Ann and Leonard John, III.

After the death of Leonard, Jr.in 1969, Jackie married William T. Simmonds of Ridley Park, PA in 1983.

Jackie and Bill loved to travel and were both very active in the Optimist Club. Jackie also enjoyed knitting, quilting, crafting, and playing in the church handbell choir. Once a year, on her birthday, she enjoyed a good margherita.

Jackies was predeceased by her parents Thomas and Marian, her brothers Thomas and John Marshall and her sister Alice Burke. She is survived by her dear sister Virgina Roberts, her sister-in-law Sheila Marshall, her children Jackie Elliott and Leonard Rust, III, her daughter-in-law Michille Rust, her grandchildren Stephen Elliott, Lauren Elliott, Cassie Goss and Leonard Rust, IV, and her great- grandchildren Penelope Collura, Charlotte Collura, Ayden Ferrer, and Preston Ramos.

Services will be held at the Ridley Park Presbyterian Church, located at 300 N. Swarthmore Avenue, Ridley Park, PA 19078 on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at 12:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Jackie to the Masonic Village at Lafayette Hill (Masonic Charities, 801 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA 19444), who made her comfortable in her final months.
