In Loving Memory of Henry Eric Dirks

July 11, 1927 – January 20, 2025

Henry Eric Dirks, age 97, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2025 of Prospect Park, PA. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, he touched the lives of many with his kindness, wisdom, and gentle spirit.

He is greatly missed by his wife of 64 years, Annamaria, his son Eric, daughter-in-law Donna, and his three grandchildren, Alec, Kirsten, and Olivia. Henry Eric is predeceased by his parents, Heinz and Elisabeth, his brother Rudy, and sister Erica.

Born in New York, Henry Eric built a life defined by integrity and hard work. He proudly served in the US Naval Air Corps from 1945-1947, and attended Brown University under the GI Bill, graduating in 1951. He had a distinguished thirty-five year career working for Dun & Bradstreet as an analytical reporter, followed by working for Colonial Penn Insurance after retirement, including being featured in their early TV commercials. 

His passions included being a lifelong fan of the Eagles and Phillies, music, gardening, golf, numerous home projects, and enjoying the holidays and special occasions with his family and grandchildren. He particularly enjoyed his grandchildren’s involvement in different sports, and travelling with his wife. He was known for his inquisitive nature, and naturally outgoing personality.

Relatives & friends are invited to his Visitation on Monday, January 27, 2025 10:00am – 10:45am followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00AM at St. Rose of Lima Eddystone Church, 1901 Chester Pike, Eddystone PA 1902
