Gerald (Jerry) Warren Kelly

Gerald (Jerry) Warren Kelly, 83, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Sunday, April 30, 2023. Jerry was born on February 4, 1940, in Philadelphia, PA, to Jerry and Dorothy (Ayres) Kelly. He was raised with his sister, Patricia, in Roslyn, PA. 

A lifelong resident of Abington, PA, Jerry proudly served his community as an Abington Township Police Officer, retiring at the rank of Lieutenant in 1993, after 28 years of service. Prior to that, he graduated with his Bachelor of Science from what was then Philadelphia Textile University. Jerry also served in the Navy Reserves for two years in Jacksonville, FL, as an Air Traffic Controller. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP), Montgomery County Lodge. 

Jerry is survived by his wife of 40 years, Donna (MacEntee) Kelly, and his three children: Gerald (Jerry) Warren Kelly, Jr. (Tricia) of Laurel, MD; Michelle Kelly Lagola (Ryan) of Phoenixville, PA; and Jordan Troy Kelly (Amanda) of Langhorne, PA. Jerry was a loving grandfather to Garrett, Kristin, Kathleen, Harper, Hayden, Jackson, Jordan, and Brooklyn.

On Wednesday, May 10, 2023, a private ceremony will be held for immediate family members, followed by a Celebration of Life, where family and friends are invited to remember and honor Jerry’s legacy.
