                                                                                         HIS STORY

Francis S O’Donnell was born on April 7, 1953 to the Late Robert and Mary (Gransby) O’Donnell.  Francis was called Home to be with the Lord on May 2, 2023

Francis was raised in Norristown, PA and attended the Norristown Area School District where he ran track.  He accepted Christ at an early age and through his life always acknowledge his faith.  He joined Hope Community Church in his latter years where he was truly loved and devoted his love for God.

Francis had a number of Jobs from Truck Driving to working at a Bakery in Bridgeport, PA to working on cars at Murray Dodge and Mascaro Trash.

If you knew Francis you knew he loved his family! As well as watching sports like Football, Basketball, Golf, Baseball, and Tennis. When he wasn’t around Family you could catch him watching some of his favorite TV Shows NCIS, Law and Order, Chicago Fire, and Blue Blood. And if it was the afternoon he would be right there with his westerns on the TV. He wouldn’t dear miss his 6 o’clock news on channel 10.

Sometimes while watching his shows he would enjoy some of his favorite foods from Zeps to wings, Chicken Alfredo and even liver and onions. If he wasn’t home cooking a meal he enjoyed going out to eat.

Francis was a Straight forward type of guy and was stern in his conversations but it was all for the good. He stuck with a daily routine where he did daily devotionals and praying before he even had a cup of coffee.

Through the years Francis found himself re-dedicating his life back to Christ. He loved to help others and found a joy in doing it. Every Saturday night you would find him serving dinners at Central Presbyterian until they had to close their doors. That didn’t stop him as he found another facility to help serve dinners at Forteniters.  Because of his love for God he started facilitating Bible Study at CHOC he loved to gather people to come hear the word of the Lord.

In addition to his parents, Francis was proceeded in death by his Sister Madeline Wheeler, Brother Robert O’Donnell Jr, Robert O’Donnell III (Nephew), Tommy Friday (Nephew), and Steven Thompson Jr (Great Nephew).

He leaves to cherish his memories his two Daughters Taylor O’Donnell and Tyisha (Chance) Jones, 2 Grandsons Symir and Chance, and 1 Granddaughter Cali. 2 sisters Veronica Ball and Jacqueline (Chris) Thompson.  A very Dear Friend where their friendship was truly divined by God Marie Maharty who was right by his side during his transition.  A host of Nieces, Nephews, other relatives, and friends.
