Frances M. Buss

On July 18, 2026, age 97, Frances “Fran” (nee Mirabelli) Buss passed away peacefully in her home in Devon, PA. Fran was the loving wife of the late John William “Jack” Buss, the loving mother of Catherine C. Buss, John William Buss Jr. (Sara) and Mari B. Dow (William), proud grandmother of Lillian Buss Freyer (Tim), Frances Brooke Field (John), Elsa Buss (Jake Wilson), Robert William Dow MD (Anna Rose MD), Claire Buss (Lyndsay Gilbert), JoJo Beihl Buss (Ian Beihl) and very proud great grandmother of nine great grandchildren.

Fran was a graduate of Trinity College, Washington DC, and a member of the Philadelphia Country Club.

Fran fully participated in life and passed this on to her children. Fran, Jack and the children skied in Vermont in the winter and raced sailboats in Avalon in the summer.
Throughout her life Fran was engaged in a variety of organizations and activities for the benefit of her community. Fran enjoyed playing bridge with friends and cooking for her family, who she cherished.

Visitation is at 10 A.M. and Funeral Mass at 11 A. M. on Thursday, August 6 at St. John Vianney Church, 350 Conshohocken State Road, Gladwyne, PA.
