Elizabeth (Horning) Eddins, 81, of West Chester, PA, passed away on September 11, 2025.
Elizabeth was the beloved wife of Dennis P. Eddins, with whom she shared 46 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Southwest Philadelphia, Elizabeth was the daughter of the late William Horning and Elizabeth (Kelly) Horning. A devout Catholic, she spent her formative years at the Church of the Transfiguration and West Catholic Girls’s, before graduating from Archbishop Prendergast High School. She later made her home in West Chester, where she raised her family and remained for many years.
Elizabeth worked in a variety of positions throughout her life, eventually retiring as the office manager of a dental practice, where she cherished the conversations she shared with patients and the friendships she formed over the years.
Above all, Elizabeth found her greatest joy in the company of her loved ones. She was a gifted cook and baker who loved hosting her large family for holidays, where her home was filled with warmth, laughter, and spirited games of pinochle with her siblings. Elizabeth cherished her trips to Cape May, NJ, had a lifelong love of art, and never missed a chance to cheer on her grandchildren at their games, recitals, or school events.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Dennis; her four children, Pia Morrison Delphais (Frank), Joseph Morrison III, Jonathan Morrison (Josie), and Alexandra Eddins Feltcher (Michael); and her eight grandchildren: Zachary and Matthew Delphais, Alyssa, Adam, Logan, and Sean Morrison, and Hailey and Harper Feltcher. She is also survived by her sisters, Kathleen Martin (Dennis) and Therese Cooling, and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
She was predeceased by her parents and by her siblings: William Hornung, Mary Harley, Charles Horning, Joseph Horning, and Carol Fleming.
