Edward Dewey Lewis

Edward Dewey Lewis, 64 passed away January 13, 2025 at his home in Philadelphia, PA after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Edward was born January 26, 1960, in Philadelphia, PA to the late Dewey Edward Lewis, Jr and Eula Rene Lewis and was the second born of seven children; his older sister Janet Lewis predeceased him in 2008. Throughout his life, Edward was employed as a Floor Tech/Janitorial Supervisor for several companies such as the United States Mint and the United States Post Office. Edward was a devoted father to his three children, Lashon, Marquita and Lisha. He loved all sports; but more notably he was a huge fan of professional wrestling and would attend local shows often. He shared his love for wrestling with his children and grandchild and he loved to discuss past and present wrestlers as well as matches.

After being diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 2009, Edward dedicated his time to helping raise his grandchildren Quion, Jaylen, LaShon, Jr. Shontee, Khyair and Quentin who he adored.

In addition to his children and grandchildren Edward is survived by his siblings, Jacqueline, Wallace, Melvin (Tracy), Randall and Daniel (Tamyka), four nieces Trachelle (Corey), Gabrielle (Dominique), Juanita and Melisha, seven nephews, Anthony, Jerome, Rasheed, Malcolm, Giante, Khalif and Robert as well as several great nieces and nephews.

Our family is grateful that Edward is at peace.
