Dana Marie Roach

Dana Marie Roach, beloved mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind a legacy of strength, compassion, and unwavering love. Born in Pottstown to James and Margaret Roach, Dana grew up alongside her brothers, Joe and Jimmy. From an early age she was known for her fierce loyalty, bright mind, and unstoppable motivation—qualities that shaped every chapter of her life.

Dana loved being active. Whether cheerleading, biking, or jumping into any sporting activity, she brought enthusiasm and grit to everything she did. Her natural drive and deep compassion led her to pursue nursing, where she excelled as a cardiothoracic intensive care unit nurse. Her passion for patient care continued to grow, ultimately guiding her toward a career in anesthesia. Becoming a nurse anesthetist was one of her proudest professional accomplishments, a testament to her dedication and talent.

Beyond her medical career, Dana found joy and empowerment as an accomplished roller derby skater, competing with one of the top ten teams in the world. She approached the sport with the same determination and heart she displayed in all aspects of her life.

But more than any achievement, Dana’s greatest joy was motherhood. She had always dreamed of becoming a mother, and that dream became beautifully real when she met her husband, Ian, through friends. Their love story took its most memorable turn when he proposed in Ireland—a day Dana cherished as one of the happiest of her life. Together, they welcomed two beautiful children and built the loving family she had always imagined.

Dana is survived by her mother, Margaret, and her brother, Joe, as well as her husband, Ian, and her children, Nolan and Callum, who were the center of her world. She is preceded in death by her father, James, and her brother, Jimmy.

A celebration of life service is being planned, and details will be shared as they become available.

Dana’s life, though heartbreakingly cut short, was filled with purpose, passion, and love. She touched countless lives through her work, her friendship, and her generous heart. Her memory will continue to inspire all who knew her.
