Old Bridge, NJ

Cynthia (Cindy) J. Wanson (formerly French) passed away Monday, February 2nd in Jefferson Einstein Montgomery Hospital. She was raised in Old Bridge and attended Madison Central High school. She and her late husband Wayne were married 46 years prior to his passing in 2024. She dedicated her life to her family as a homemaker for many years, raising her children and helping to care for her nephews and grandchildren.

Cindy was a loving woman who never shied away from a chance to provide support to her family. She was affectionately known as “Gamma” to all who really knew her. She was never happier than when she was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was always their proudest and loudest supporter, no matter the endeavor, and attended any and all events she could. She had a life long love for crafting, was the largest fan of the Phillies and Eagles and enjoyed attending games with her family.

Cindy is survived by her daughters: Kimberly Wanson of Old Bridge, NJ, Nicole Van Ness of Collegeville, PA, Sheri Yacavino and her husband, Thomas, of Collegeville, PA; 5 grandchildren: Riley Van Ness, Peter Van Ness, Hailey Yacavino, Isla Yacavino and Eloise Yacavino; her mother, Helen French of Old Bridge, NJ, her brother, Rick French and his wife, Kira, of South River, NJ; 4 nephews, Austin, Kyle, Jason, and Daryl French; and all who loved her.

All are welcome to join a celebration of life that will be held in her honor on Saturday, March 7th from 11:00am-2:00pm at Opulent Event Venue, 40 E 1st Avenue, Trappe, PA 19426.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in her honor to the American Heart Association.
