Charles Harvath

Charles Harvath, of Berwyn, Pennsylvania, passed away surrounded by the love of his family.

Charles shared 64 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Frances Tiskiewic Harvath, a remarkable partnership that remained at the center of his life. Together, they built a family and shared a lifetime of memories.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Frances; his sons, Charles David Harvath and Mark Charles Harvath (Mary Beth); and his granddaughter, Rebecca Harvath. He was predeceased by his daughter, Nancy Harvath.

Charles proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. Assigned to the 3rd Aerial Port Squadron at Pope Air Force Base, he worked in military supply and logistics and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal.He later continued his military service in the United States Army, retiring with the rank of Major.

Following his military service, Charles continued his education at the University of Pittsburgh, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in 1957 and a Master of Business Administration, magna cum laude, in 1959. A lifelong learner with a keen intellect, Charles was a member of both Mensa and Phi Beta Kappa and was recognized in Marquis Who’s Who.

Charles enjoyed a long and accomplished professional career in law-firm administration. His final career position was as Administrator of Morris, James, Hitchens & Williams, now Morris James LLP, in Wilmington, Delaware, where he served for 11 years before retiring in 2005.

Above all, Charles will be remembered as a devoted husband, father and grandfather whose life was deeply connected to the family he loved. His presence, the memories he created and the many years he shared with those closest to him will be treasured and deeply missed.
