Barbara Lynn Liberato

May 11, 1958 — April 18, 2026

Coatesville, PA

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Barbara Liberato, 67, a remarkable woman, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, who left us on April 18, 2026 after a long and bravely fought battle with Endometrial Cancer.

She was an extraordinary woman — strong, intelligent, and endlessly loving. A trailblazer in her own right, she was among the first women admitted to Lehigh University, where she demonstrated the determination and intellect that would define her life. She went on to build a successful career as an accountant for a large property management firm, earning the respect of colleagues through her sharp mind, integrity, and work ethic.

But the way she expressed that intelligence and care most beautifully was at home — whether it was through the incredible meals she created for the people she loved or the time she spent side by side with her husband in consignment shops, bringing new life to old furniture. She had an incredible eye for art and beauty, and a gift for seeing potential where others might not.

Above all, her greatest pride and legacy were her children. She raised them to be strong, compassionate, and driven individuals. Her son, Kyle, reflects her kindness and generosity in every aspect of his life—as a devoted husband, a loving father, a dedicated wrestling coach, and unwavering friend who would do anything to help others. Her daughter, Jennifer, carries forward her strength and perseverance as a physician and surgical resident, continuing to break barriers in a traditionally male-dominated field, just as her mother once did.

She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Nicholas; her son, Kyle; her daughter, Jennifer; her daughter-in-law, Amanda; her soon-to-be son-in-law, Jacob; and her cherished granddaughter, McKenzie, who brought her immense joy. She leaves behind her three loving sisters, Jean, Ada, and Clair, as well as her best friend of more than 30 years, Donna Sargent and her extended Sargent family.

Her legacy is one of resilience, intelligence, and boundless love. She gave so much of herself to others, and her impact will live on in the lives she shaped and the family and loved ones she cherished.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at the Stottsville Innon May 9 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
