Arthur Richard Houpt

Arthur Richard "Rick" Houpt, age 65, a life long resident of Aston, PA died October 16, 2023 at Riddle Memorial Hospital after a battle with cancer.

Rick graduated from Sun Valley High School class of 1976, where he played many sports.  He worked at the produce market in Philadelphia for Misa Bay and worked for many years at Goodales Beer Distributor in Aston, where many people referred to him as the beer man. He finished his work career at Alloy Surfaces in Bethel Township.

He loved the beach, the Phillies and was very passionate about the Eagles having had season tickets for many years and enjoyed tailgating.  Rick also enjoyed a round or two of golf.  He was a member of the VFW Bonaventure Post 6613 and the Lenni A. C.

Rick was the son of the late Roland Benson Houpt.  He is survived by his loving wife Kathleen "Kate" (Cunningham) Houpt of 35 years. His mother Dale (Houpt) Tibbetts and the late Russell Tibbetts.  His brothers Roland (Roddy), Randale (Randy), Alan Tibbetts and their wives, Debbie and Cindy.  His sister Leslie and brother in laws John Cunningham(Debbie), Larry Cunningham(Stephanie) and Kevin Crosby. Sister in law Anne Marie (Cunningham) McCullough, 7 nephews, 4 nieces, a great nephew, many great nieces and an Aunt Janet Favinger along with many cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Resurrection (Calvary) Episcopal Church Mount Rd. Aston, PA Monday October 23, 2023 at 10:00 am where the family will receive friends after 8:30 am.  Interment is private.

In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be sent to the Oncology Unit at Riddle Memorial Hospital 1068 W. Baltimore Pike Media, PA 19063 or to any Cancer Charity of your choice.
