Andrea Kyer passed away on September 6th, 2022. Born in Syracuse, NY, on the Onondaga Nation Indian Territory June 2nd, 1973 to Catherine Brophy and Edward Kyer, Jr, Andrea is survived by her two loving sisters, Jennifer Brophy-Kyer of Tallahassee, FL, and Aryn Kyer of Asheville, NC, her faithful companion, Augie doggie and cat, Pluto. Andrea lived in Bristol, Windsor, and Hartford, CT, New York, NY, and Northampton, MA before settling down in Philadelphia, PA, a city whose people and culture she loved for nearly 20 years. She volunteered in the NICU at the Children’s Hospital and managed a Community Garden on the block where she owned her home. Andrea earned her BFA from Tyler School of Art at Temple University and her MS from Drexel University. She worked as an EHR Implementation and Training Specialist for 10 years at Better Health, a Planned Parenthood Partnership. Andrea was a gifted and knowledgeable multimedia artist and a vintage camera enthusiast. All who knew her will miss Andrea’s kind and funny spirit. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 15th, 11am at Jermain United Methodist Church in Eagle Bridge, NY, with luncheon to follow in the White Creek Community Hall. Andrea will be laid to rest at the Cemetery of the Evergreens in New Lebanon, NY.
