FISK HENRY EUGENE 'GENE' June 29, 1936 - Jan. 10, 2022 Born in Chicago, IL passed away in Newtown Square, PA. Moved to Laramie, Wyoming in 1943, graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1958 and then received a PhD in physics from UCLA in 1963. He taught at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh for 10 years. He pursued high energy particle physics research at Fermilab National Accelerator Laboratory, in Batavia, Illinois for 39 years until his retirement in 2012; after which he became a Scientist Emeritus. He was engaged in research that found the Top Quark particle. He was an active member in the local community as well as The Congregational Church of Batavia. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jean, daughter Kirstin Engelman (Jeff) of Bryn Mawr, grandchildren Ruth, Theodore and Eli. A Memorial Service will be held at Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church, 625 Montgomery Ave., Bryn Mawr, PA 19010 on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 11 A.M. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church (bmpc.org)
