Shira Mae Lomax Savage

February 21, 1992 — November 20, 2021

Shira Savage (Lomax) was born on February 21, 1992, to her parents Kim Lomax and Craig McWhorter. She was the youngest of four girls with a brother who joined their family a year later. On November 20, 2021, heaven gained an angel, and the world lost a beautiful soul.

Shira was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and spent the latter half of her childhood in Blackwood, NJ. As a child, she was educated by the School District of Philadelphia where she attended Overbrook Educational Center (O.E.C). In New Jersey, she continued her education at Loring Flemming Elementary School and Glen Landing Middle School. In 2010, Shira graduated from Triton Regional High School and continued her education at Lincoln Technical Institute where she studied to become a Medical Assistant. She later enrolled at Walden University to pursue her dream to become a Psychologist.

Shira most recently worked for the School District of Philadelphia. She was a Payroll Processor for the Office of Facilities and Maintenance. Along the way between Philadelphia and New Jersey, Shira gained many friends. While she would never consider herself “friendly,” she was an amazing friend to those she loved and cared for.
