Nancy Hutty

Nancy Faye Cherry Hutty, 69, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away on August 26th, 2021. She was born and raised in Harlem, New York of the late Elisha Cherry and Dorothy Williams Cherry and graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1977, where she studied history. Throughout her life, she worked as a social worker, a teacher, and spent most of her adult life as a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Milton Hutty, her children, Dayna Cherry, Kiea Hutty, Mylika Hutty, Imani Hutty and daughter-in-law Laura Iheanachor Hutty, Nefertiti Hutty, her grandchildren, Alexis Smith, Robert Smith, Justin Smith, Maliah Faye Hutty-Zainoudine, and Rasiyah Nancy Cherry Hutty Mohammad. She was preceded in death by siblings: Laverne Bryant, Willie Williams, Elisha Cherry Jr. and is survived by siblings: Donald, Barbara, Patricia, Beverley, Surprina, Cecilia, Sabrina, many nieces and nephews and with special love to the Dowe family.
