EVERTS JUDITH ANN "JUDY" (nee PYLE) 80, of Media, formerly of Collingswood, passed away on August 26th, 2021 from a breakthrough case of Covid-19. She was born in West Virginia, daughter of the late Howard and Mary Bondurant Pyle, and graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1962 where she studied comparative religion and was a member of the Chi Omega sorority. She began a career in social work at the Interfaith Alliance in New York and was the Director of Adult Services at Respond in Camden for over 30 years. Everts was the co-founder of Proud Neighbors of Collingswood, former president of the Junior Women's Club, and an active member of PEO Chapter W in Haddonfield. Judy had a beautiful singing voice, and enjoyed playing piano, bridge, and traveling; and was vocal on issues of poverty, racism, and environmental justice. She is survived by her children Gretchen Valianti (Christopher) of Pitman, NJ, Kristin Nyce (Dr. Mark) of Savannah, GA, Bart Everts of Philadelphia, five grandchildren, a great-granddaughter and her sister-in-law. A Celebration of Life will be held at the chapel of Haddonfield United Methodist Church on Sat. September 4th; Visitation at 10:00 A.M., service at 11:00 A.M. (masks will be required).
