Christine Lippmann Smith
On Thursday July 1, 2021 Christine L Smith loving wife, mother of two children and two grandchildren passed away at the age of 69 surrounded by family at her home in Devon, Pa.
Chris was born in Chicago, Illinois on February 7, 1952 to Carl and Marjorie Lippmann. She graduated from Taft High School in Chicago, Illinois and University of Dubuque in Iowa with a degree in Economics and minor in Art. On March 6, 1976, she married Joseph E. Smith. They raised two children, Taylor and Parker in Devon, Pa.
Chris had a passion for art, design and antiques. She spent many years painting early American designs, giving her time teaching Art History in local schools, and volunteering for many local antique shows including The Philadelphia Antique Show, of which she was the Chairwomen in 2006. Chris was a beloved member of the Main Line School Night family where she was the Director of Development and Membership for the past five years.
Chris is preceded in death by her father, Carl and mother, Marjorie. She is survived by her husband Joseph, her two children Taylor Smith Moyer of Newtown Square, Parker Smith and his wife Kristin of Phoenixville, two grandchildren Seth and Luke Moyer, Brother Steven Lippmann and many nieces and nephews.
The family will be holding a private service in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
