Vera Guimaraes Moen

 MOEN VERA ABADIA GUIMARAES 80, died unexpectedly on Sat. June 12, 2021 at Penn Presbyterian Hospital. Vera was the 9th of 10 Guimaraes children born in Uberaba Brazil. She moved to Phila. in 1977 where she resided until her death. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Gerry E. Moen; and a son David and his wife, Erin, of Conshohocken, PA. Vera was devoted Vovo to her 3 grandsons; Lucas, Leo, and Logan. Sister to Petucia and Sonia Guimaraes (Rio de Janeiro); Leticia and Dalva Guimaraes (Uberaba). She is preceded in death by her beloved son Michael (2018), brothers Olavo and Jose; sisters Wanda and Helena and an infant sister. Vera was previously employed as a Portuguese language instructor with Berlitz and enjoyed writing, painting, caring for her cats and traveling the world throughout her life. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. A Graveside Service will take place at Westminster Cem., Bala Cynwyd, on Thursday June 17th at 10:30 A.M.
