Jeffrey Scott Taylor

July 26, 1956 — April 27, 2021

Jeffrey Scott Taylor, Philadelphia, PA. passed away April 27, 2021, after a long battle with liver disease. He was 64. Mr. Taylor was born in Lynchburg, VA., the second son of Edward J. Taylor and Kovelka Berona Taylor, both deceased. He spent his early years in Greensboro, NC.   The family moved to Horseheads NY. for 2 years before settling in Yardley, PA. in 1966.  He was a graduate of the Hun School of Princeton, Class of 1974, where he was an all state lacrosse player, and Kenyon College, Class of 1978.
Mr. Taylor’s parents moved back to the Greensboro area while he was in college. He began his career working for his parent’s business in Greensboro. He then moved back to Philadelphia and started working in automobile finance. But true to his caring nature, he spent six years back in North Carolina after both parents died caring for his brother Greg who suffered from intellectual disabilities. He loved his family, never missed family events, and took pride in his niece and nephew.
Mr. Taylor is survived by his younger sister, Christine McGee (John McGee) of Charlotte, NC. He is also survived by his older brother Mark (Ilene Wasserman), niece Erin Taylor (Paul Adler), and nephew, Matthew Taylor.  He is pre-deceased by his younger brothers Eric Taylor and Greg Taylor. Mr. Taylor is remembered as a humble, warm person with a sweet disposition, generous spirit, big heart, as well as a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Salvation Army.
