Steven M Iwanowski, 66, of Robeson Twp., passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 20 surrounded by family. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sandra. He was born in Reading, PA, the first son of the late Stephen A Iwanowski and Joanna Dietz.
He graduated from Reading High School and worked at Crompton and Knowles for over 30 years climbing his way up from production to Supervisor. He completed his career as a Batchmaker at Misco, from where he recently retired. He never missed reading his daily newspaper, doing the crosswords, watching his beloved Rams football team, and playing with his grandchildren. He loved burgers from Crystal Palace or Hardees and gizmos from Miller’s. He also enjoyed listening to music, especially punk rock, while working with his hands. On the weekends, he watched movies about World War 2, Audie Murphy or John Wick and attended his granddaughter’s gymnastics meets. He was also known for kayaking the Schuylkill and, in his youth, played rec basketball, drove 4x4s and rode motorcycles.
He is survived by his three brothers, Mark, husband of Paula, Chris, and Drew, children Steph and Stevie, husband of Rubaiya, his precious grandchildren Vito, Gabby, Alex and Marisa and nieces, Jesse, Melissa, Tori, and Robin.
