Michael Calpin

March 19, 1940 — March 10, 2020

 Michael John Calpin, Sr. age 79, passed away peacefully at his home in Trevose, PA on Tuesday, March 10, 2020, while surrounded by family and friends. 

Mike was born on March 19, 1940 to John and Catherine Calpin in Centralia, PA.  He graduated from North Catholic High School in 1957 and began his career with the Department of Labor and Industry for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a Tax Agent.  He continued there until his retirement in 2002 as a Regional Director.  Early in his career, Mike also served time as an Army Reservist. 
While working full time and raising his family, Mike became a founding member of the Feltonville Recreational Sports League and for many years served as a coach on his sons’ baseball teams. 
After retiring, Mike enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  Some of his favorite activities were family gatherings where he would tell unforgettable, hilarious stories about his life experiences, tell jokes that will carry on and continue to bring a lifetime of smiles to his children’s and grandchildren’s faces, playing cards, golfing, fishing, and taking occasional trips to the casino to test his luck.
Mike was predeceased by his parents, his brother Joe and his sisters, Catherine, Ann Marie, Mary Carol and Irene.  He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Jane their seven children, Steve, Jacqueline (Dave), Michael (Jennean), Brian (Angel), Jennifer (Angelo), Erin (Ben) and Jonathan (Lisa); twelve grandchildren, Matthew, Jared, Victoria, Brian,  Zachary, Angela, Hannah, Amanda, Abigail, Isabella, Lane and Naomi, his brother James and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, 654 Hatboro Rd, Richboro, PA  on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. which will be followed by a mass in Mike’s honor at 2:00 p.m.
