Lenny Holmquist of Warminster PA left this world on Sunday, January 12, 2020. He was surrounded by his family at the time of his unexpected passing.
Lenny was born on November 5, 1958 in Abington, PA to Len and Jean (Stapfer) Holmquist. He moved with his family to several states in his younger years and returned with his parents and settled in Huntingdon Valley, PA. He attended Lower Moreland High School and graduated from Delaware Valley College. He worked for more than 25 years at World Flavors in Ivyland, PA before leaving to spend time at home.
Lenny was full of spirit and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion and participated in many activities at the Legion to support and honor our veterans who have given so much to our freedom. He was a dedicated member of the barbeque team. Always quick with a joke, a kind word, and had many, many friends. His favorite hobby was fishing at the shore and catching those big blues.
Lenny is survived by his sons Leonard Holmquist (Destiny), Sam Holmquist (Disa), Brandan Holmquist, and stepdaughter Nancy Holmquist, eight grandchildren, his mother, Jean (Stapfer) Holmquist, sister Jeanne McCormick (Michael) and several uncles, aunts and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Len Holmquist.
Lenny wishes to spend eternity with the sea, so his ashes will be spread at a later date. He asks his friends and family to hoist a brew of their choice and make a toast in his honor.
