James Felty Douglas

 James Felty Douglas of Philadelphia, PA died August 19, 2019 at the age of 40. 

James was born on Jan. 17, 1979 in Raleigh, NC to Bruce and Pegie (Quinn) Douglas.   They lived in Connelly Springs, NC. He  attended Rutherford College Elementary, East Burke Middle, and graduated from East Burke High School in 1997. He graduated from Drexel University in 2017 majoring in Business Finance.

As a family, they traveled extensively all over the world for much of James’ upbringing.  James earned the Eagle Scout Award while attending Burke High. He played the trumpet in the marching band creating many fun and memorable times for the family.

James was naturally inquisitive and loved working with complex problems.  He developed several patents as well as founding  multiple technology startup companies. 

He had a wonderful sense of humor.

He is greatly missed by his family, cousins, and many friends , especially his partner, Daniela Starr.

James is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents,   James and Polly Douglas of North Cape May, NJ, and his maternal grandparents Galen and Virginia Quinn of Durham, NC.
