Ryan was an analytical thinker with a whimsical imagination and satirical wit. He was vocal and steadfast in his philosophies and strong yet gentle in body and spirit. Ryan had an unshakable love for his chosen city of Philadelphia. He cherished his family and was loyal to his tight knit group of friends above all else.
Ryan was born in Honesdale, PA, and was raised in Lake Ariel where he attended Western Wayne High School. He was a graduate of the University of Scranton where he studied philosophy and psychology and of Villanova University where he earned a masters degree in psychology. He enjoyed a rewarding career at the Abramson Cancer Center of the University of Pennsylvania in the Department of Operations, Compliance, and Monitoring.

His mother Janet Edwards, his father William Langan, his siblings Stephen Aleckna, Jamie Aleckna, and Jonathan Aleckna, and his partner Reesha Grosso. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
A memorial for family and friends will be held at 4pm on Friday, June 28th at Philly PACK: 233 Federal Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147. Festive attire is encouraged.
