Deborah A. Rivera

      Deborah Ann Rivera of Philadelphia formally from Wilkes-Barre passed away peacefully February 25th, 2019 in her daughter's arms. She was born to Joann Donaldson on October 17th,1954 in Wilmington, Delaware. She was preceded in death by a infant daughter Deborah Eaton August 5th, 1976, her beloved husband Jim Rivera July 13th, 2005 and her grandparents Albert and Evelyn Rice. Debbie is survived by her daughter Joann and husband Kylif with whom she resided and her companion/furbaby Dusty, sisters Martha Potak and her husband John and Cecilia Shaker and brothers George Sam, Assad Sam, Mose Sam and his wife Barb, nieces and nephews. My Mom was a beautiful person and self proclaimed "free spirit" she had a deep love for music and proudly attended many concerts including Woodstock. She would help anyone in need and never expected anything in return. She was my Queen and I am blessed to call her Mommy. She trulywas cut from a different cloth, I know she wouldn't want anyone to cry but celebrate her life and all the good she stood for. I know she is dancing in the sky pain free with everyone she missed. A memorial for the celebration of Debbie's life will be held in Wilkes-Barre at a later date.
