Charmaine Elizabeth Mendola

 DR CHARMAINE ELIZABETH MENDOLA

Charmaine was born in New Eagle, PA on October 7, 1953. She moved to NJ as a young child and grew up in Cranford, NJ where she graduated from Cranford High School in 1971. She continued her education at Rutgers University and was in the first class of women to be accepted to the university.  She received her doctorate (Ph.D.) in molecular biology and her subsequent career was focused on cancer research.

Charmaine and her husband, Jose, were married for 26 years and have a beautiful daughter, Alexandra, two stepchildren, Gabe and Tali, and a grandson, Jude.

As devoted as she was to her family, Charmaine had a very special relationship with her rescue/support dog, Dexter.  He was her constant companion.

Charmaine is survived by her sisters, Mary and Patty and her nieces, Nicole and Alicia

She was very loved by all and will be missed dearly.
