Shirley Marguerite Cosenza

 In a stark rebuke to her friends and family, Shirley Cosenza (nee Gelbach) of Media shuffled off this mortal coil peacefully in her sleep on Thursday the 24th of January in the year 2019.  She joined many friends and loved ones, including her brother Tommy Gelbach and her nana Annie Yergey, in her eternal reward.  Shirley is survived by Martin Cosenza, her husband of nearly 50 years; her son Martin Cosenza, Jr. and his wife Stefanie; her son Albert Cosenza and his wife Grace; her daughter JoAnna Laskas and her husband John; and her six grandchildren, Martin James III, Ashley, Francesca, John Joseph IV, Natalie, and Giada, some of whom are vaguely disconcerted by the concept of a sanctified grandparent observing their every action from heaven (a condition which would tickle Mrs. Cosenza to no end).  Shirley will be interned following a service at the Cumberland Cemetery on February 18th.  Well-wishers will be invited to join her family in a celebration of Shirley’s life following the internment.
