Hodgie Ella Alston Robinson

October 16, 1928 — July 31, 2018

Hodgie Ella Alston Robinson was born in Centerville Franklin County North Carolina  on October 16,1928.
To the late Thomas Morton and Mary Jane Foster Alston. Hodgie was baptise at Perry Chapel Church at a young age. In which she was a faithful member till graduating from Perry High School in 1945.
Hodgie move to Philadelphia Pennsylvania in which she meet her husband the late Thomas Allen Robinson. They were married on November 11th, 1950. From this union four children were born.



In 1959 she attended Philadelphia School of Practical Nursing and received a license in practical nursing,then was hire at Lankenau hospital. After several years later she move on to do private duty nursing in home care. Her joy was helping and taking care of people. After several years of serving as a nurse, she retired and started working in many other community project.



Hodgie was a member of Friendly Friends Baptist Church, where she serve as the president aid under Pastor Mills. A devoted volunteer and member of Carroll Park Community Council for over 19yrs. The Nassau Fattale Food for Thought House of Umoja, Member of AARP #4037, Den mother of Girls Scout of America, Eastern Star Booker T Washington #36, Princess Irene #10, Esther Grand Court Ladies of Circle of Perfection, Member of the Choir of OES and Esther Grand Court.



Hodgie Leaves to cherish her memories her daughter Cassandra, Teresa Cox, Hilda, Son Anthony, Step-Son James Fauntleroy and wife Betty from Swedesboro NJ. Grandchildren: Jarriel Forbes, Letitia Cox and Tracy Fauntleroy. Great Grandchildren: Janae, Terrance Jr, Nashiya, Matthew, Makayla, Cameron, Caleb. Son in law Larry Cox. Brother in law James Mason Robinson and Sister in Law  Emily from Ridgeland South Carolina.
