Charles Robert Blair

October 19, 1931 — June 15, 2018

 C Robert Blair

Age 86 of Radnor, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Friday June 15, 2018 after a lengthy illness. A successful self-made businessman, he was the originator of the Colonial Village Meat Market Systems and franchised numerous Colonial Village Meat Markets from Massachusetts to Florida. Additionally, he owned and operated The Colonial Market in the Manoa Shopping Center with his partner, Ed Giosa, for many years. He loved to cook and especially to eat! Bob was a life-long sportsman: as a youth he played football and basketball at Collingdale High School. As an adult, he enjoyed volleyball and racketball as well as playing golf at Chester Valley Golf Club, working out at the Upper Main Line YMCA and Club La Maison and kayaking in North Wildwood. In his later years, he could often be found watching golf and football on TV. Bob had an eclectic group of friends spanning his various interests.

Bob is survived by his wife and soul mate, Virginia Blair, and by his children Robert Warren Blair of Media, Barbara Blair (Joe Robbins) of Villanova, Evelyn Blair of Media, Christopher Renzi of Devon, and Jennifer Renzi (Carlos Salgado) of Brooklyn, NY and grandchildren Emma Bazilian, Robert Barnett, Graham Blair-Barnett, Charles Blair-Barnett and Soledad Salgado.

A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at a date still to be determined. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in his name to the National Stroke Association or to a charity of choice. Special thanks are given to those who helped to care for Bob at the end of his life: Bindu Sillah, his caregivers at Arden Courts and the staff at Heartland Hospice Care.
